Work

Five demos, five different jobs.

Every site below is a concept build: a fictional business I designed and built myself, start to finish, to show what a finished site looks like. None of them were commissioned by a real business. They're five complete builds with no business behind them, so read them as samples of the work rather than a record of past jobs. Look them over the way you'd look at any other sample of the work.

The demos

Salon & Spa

Copper Thistle Salon

Cut, color, and balayage in the heart of Columbia City.

A salon site lives or dies on two things: whether a stranger can see the work, and whether they can book a slot without calling.

Home Services

Locks District Home Services

Licensed, bonded, and insured. Serving Ballard, Fremont, and Greenwood.

Someone with a leak is deciding, in a few seconds, whether this company looks licensed and trustworthy enough to hand a key to. The phone number has to be unmissable.

Restaurant

Cormorant Coffee & Kitchen

Scratch-made breakfast and lunch, a block up from Alki Beach.

A hungry person on a sidewalk wants today's hours and the menu before they decide where to eat, not a slideshow they have to wait through first.

Bar & Brewery

Foredeck Brewing Co.

Georgetown brewery and taproom. House beer, pub food, and something on every night.

The pitch is tonight: taproom hours and whatever's on for trivia or karaoke this week matter more here than a polished photo gallery.

Generic / Other

Thornberry Bike Works

Tune-ups, repairs, and honest advice from Ballard's neighborhood bike shop.

Not every business fits a template built for one trade. This is what I build for the rest, and the job is making "something else" still look bespoke, not generic.
